TPS Checking

What is it?
The Telephone Preference Service (TPS) is a central opt out register whereby individuals can register their wish not to receive unsolicited sales and marketing telephone calls. It is a legal requirement that companies do not make such calls to numbers registered on the TPS.
The original legislation was introduced in May 1999. It has subsequently been updated and now the relevant legislation is the Privacy and Electronic (EC Directive) Regulations 2003. (Source:
TPS Online)
Organisations that cold-call private numbers can be prosecuted, if prospects are registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS for short). There are over 700,000 UK individual numbers registered with this service. Are the phone numbers your sales team are using on the TPS database? You cannot know for sure unless you have a complete list of TPS numbers.
Do you have the complete list of these numbers? We do!
What we can do for you?
As experts in database administration, we can either strip TPS numbers from your telephone database or mark these numbers as occurring on the TPS list. This means that you do not incur the risk of calling prohibited numbers.
